Where can I find it?

Q: I have some wonderful pieces of clothing that are hardly used, including Brooks Brothers and Burberry. I know of women's consignment shops, and we have some great ones in the Atlanta area, but are there any consignment shops selling upscale clothing for men? I would think your answer would be advantageous to guys also. Thanks for the attention. — Ms. R., email

A: I found a very nice men’s consignment store called Fantastic Finds For Him, 220 Sandy Springs Circle, Sandy Springs, 404-303-1088. The shop is dedicated to upscale clothing for men, and is a spin-off of Fantastic Finds ladies store. The men’s version has carried designer brands that range from Hermes neck ties and Prada to Louis Vuitton and Diesel. The store has only one policy when bringing in merchandise to sell. If it belongs on a hanger, then please bring the article of clothing in on one. And if you want your hanger back, no problem, you can swap it out for the store’s hanger.

Q: My daughter-in-law's birthday was last week and she requested Betty Crocker Rainbow Chip frosting for her birthday cake. I looked everywhere and could not find it. Any ideas about where I can find this, or has it been discontinued? Thanks for your help. — E.J. Waldron, Buford

A: I’m afraid I have bad news for you and the other readers who have been trying to find the vanilla frosting mixed with tiny colorful chips. According to Betty Crocker, the company stopped producing Rainbow Chip frosting on May 7, 2010. However, until recently, leftover stock has been available online through various sites, including Amazon. The last bastion of discontinued products is often eBay, but that source has dried up, too. Betty Crocker replaced Rainbow Chip with Rainbow Sprinkle frosting but, let’s face it, when you’re hankering for a chip, a sprinkle won’t do at all.

Q: My husband's health is fragile, he often feels unwell, and one thing he hates to do is shave, so he doesn't for days at a time. Is there a barber shop or other shop that gives a man a shave any more? I've asked barber shops around McDonough, where we live, and no one does it. Does anyone? Thank you for your assistance. I really enjoy your column. — Barbara Sandlin, McDonough

A: Thank you so much for reading, Barbara. I found one of the few places that still offers shaves with a straight razor or a twin blade. VIP Barbershop, 35 Atlanta St., McDonough, 770-898-5795, is located behind the courthouse. A shave costs $10.

Q: My grocery store has been out of black sesame seeds for about a month. I love adding them to my smoothies. Any idea where I can purchase some in the Atlanta area? — M. Brown, Marietta

A: I’m a big fan of black sesame seeds and like to sprinkle them over pot stickers and use them in Asian-style dressings, marinades and dipping sauces. They’re available at Penzey’s Spices, 6235 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, 404-256-7970. You can buy them in several sizes, including 1.3 ounces for $3.29 and 2.7 ounces for $5.49.
