She’s the woman who scarfed down a fiery scotch bonnet pepper, supposedly thinking it was a piece of fruit.
The video went viral and, so far, has logged more than 28 million views.
She got millions more with an ice bucket challenge, which resulted in her wig being washed off showing two protruding braids.
The internet sensation and comedian, who opens many of her videos withe the trademark “Is you okay? Is you good? Cause I want to know” will in Atlanta at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Barnes & Noble bookstore, 1217 Caroline St. to discuss and sign copies of her new book, “Is you okay?”
The book, written with Niles Parker, chronicles Green”s start “by accident” on YouTube to her rise to internet stardom.
A native of Orlando, Green said the book is about her life in Orlando and her move to California to make it big in comedy. She blogged but didn’t feel like she was getting any traction until a friend suggested she use YouTube. In the book, she talks about body image, work, relationship and “my crazy family.”
