Atlanta is expecting a lot of in-town and out-of-town company this weekend, from visitors to Atlanta's annual Christmas parade to sports fans attending the SEC Championship, the Hawks game and a special Auburn University basketball game Sunday at Phillips Arena.
Atlanta police estimate that 170,000 people will take part in major events this weekend in and near downtown and Midtown. Here's a select list of the events this weekend:

- Southeastern Conference, Fanfare, Georgia World Congress Center, December 6, 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- 2013 Jingle Bell Run/Walk, Turner Field, December 7, 7:30 am – 10:30 am
- Atlanta Belt Line Eastside 10K, Krog Street, December 7, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Children's Christmas Parade, Midtown Atlanta, December 7, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm
- Southeastern Conference, Fanfare, Georgia World Congress Center, December 7, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Southeastern Conference Championship Game, Missouri Tigers vs. Auburn Tigers, Georgia Dome, 2:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- Auburn University Tigers vs. University of Illinois Fighting Illini, Philips Arena, December 8, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
