On Saturday, Making Strides of Atlanta 5K walk, presented by Independent Insurance Agents For A Cure, takes place

Registration 7 a.m.; walk 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29

Piedmont Park, 1342 Worchester Drive NE. Contact Susan LaClaire, AtlantaGAStrides@cancer.org, 404-949-6469

This is a big ole' American Cancer Society walk for a hugely important cause: groundbreaking breast cancer research, life-saving education and critical patient services. It's non-competitive, so start a team or cheer one on. Survivors are asked to check in when they arrive to walk and hang out at a special survivor's area. Each cancer survivor will receive a special gift while supplies last.
