Just because Breast Cancer Awareness Month is nearly over doesn't mean it's too late to show your support.
Throughout October, Panera will sell its signature Pink Ribbon Bagel, a twist on the Cherry Vanilla Bagel, a mix of cherry chips, dried cherries, honey, vanilla and brown sugar. A portion of the proceeds of the Pink Ribbon bagel will be donated to local nonprofits across the country.
Twenty retailers and restaurants at Alpharetta's Avalon shopping center will have in-store promotions tailored to its "Paint Avalon Pink" campaign, and portions of their sales go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and other breast cancer research efforts. To find out which stores are participating and what the deals are, click here.
On Saturday, Making Strides of Atlanta 5K walk, presented by Independent Insurance Agents For A Cure, takes place
Registration 7 a.m.; walk 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29

This is a big ole' American Cancer Society walk for a hugely important cause: groundbreaking breast cancer research, life-saving education and critical patient services. It's non-competitive, so start a team or cheer one on. Survivors are asked to check in when they arrive to walk and hang out at a special survivor's area. Each cancer survivor will receive a special gift while supplies last.
