The millennial fast food consumers have spoken, and it appears a warm welcome and Chick-n-Minis are the way to a 20-something’s heart.

According to Harris Poll's EquiTrend Poll results released Tuesday, Chick-fil-A claimed the title of Chicken Restaurant Brand of the Year, while Moe's Southwest Grill received accolade of Fast Casual Mexican Restaurant Brand of the Year.

Both Atlanta-based chains benefited from millennial consumers, who have been “beefing up” restaurant brands in recent years,  Joan Sinopoli, vice president of brand solutions at The Harris Poll, said in a statement.

“Restaurants continue to adapt to the millennial lifestyle, and advancements in ordering methods such as Starbucks’ mobile app and Chick-fil-A’s ‘Mom Valet’ are likely influencing millennials’ higher brand equity scores,” Sinopoli said.

The EquiTrend study used three factors − familiarity, quality and purchase consideration − to determine the top burger brand. More than 100,000 American consumers assessed 4,000 brands in more than 450 categories, including best chicken, casual dining, luxury department store, electronics stores and others.

Moe's beat out Baja Fresh Mexican Grill and Taco Bell in the EquiTrend study results. Chick-fil-A outshined Zaxby's, El Pollo Loco and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in the poll results.
