Get in the mood for romance with these Valentine’s Day cocktails

Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year, so celebrate your sweetie by staying in and making each other cocktails like the ones below.

After all, nothing shows your appreciation better than a nice, boozy homemade gift, right?

French Kiss

1 oz. gin

3/4 oz. St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur

1/4 oz. Aperol

1/4 oz. fresh lemon

Top with Martini sparkling rosé

Shake first four ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Top with the sparkling wine and garnish with an orange peel or twist.

The Ladybird

1 1/2 oz. Tito’s Vodka

3/4 oz. ginger liqueur

3/4 oz. lime juice

3/4 oz. simple syrup

Maraschino cherry

Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice, shake hard for 10 seconds, strain into a martini glass and garnish with a cherry.

Royal Smile

1 1/2 oz. Calvados Boulard V.S.O.P.

1 oz. Hayman’s Old Tom Gin

2/3 oz. lemon juice

2/3 oz. grenadine

Add all ingredients to shaker filled with ice, shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Valentine Sparkler

1 1/2 oz. Cruzan Aged Light Rum

1/2 oz. vanilla simple syrup

1/2 oz. unsweetened fresh cranberry juice

4 oz. sparkling wine

Combine first three ingredients in a champagne flute and stir twice. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with an orange peel cut in the shape of a heart.
