New American eatery Vino Venue in Dunwoody is hosting a wine, chocolate and cheese pairing class Feb. 11. The class promises to provide an "educational wine and food experience."
“Fine wine meets creamy cheeses and decadent desserts in this educational experience featuring unexpected, yet unforgettable pairings. Sip and savor several of history’s greatest indulgences and discover the symmetry and harmony that stems from a perfect pairing,” reads the event description.
Sommelier instructors will teach guests about the wine, cheese and chocolate, as well as a few surprise combinations.

For $64.99, guests will get the following in their class:
- three cheeses
- three chocolates
- six wines
- taste and learn which wines pair better with which cheeses and chocolates and why
- instruction on choosing the best cheese and chocolate
- high quality, artisan wines, cheeses and chocolates
The class is part of the Atlanta Wine School, which opened in 2004 and grew quickly. In 2007, founder Michael Bryan put AWS in its own building where it could host courses tailored to informing new wine connoisseurs. In an effort to offer more to customers, Bryan opened Vino Venue, the home of AWS, in October 2012. Currently, it welcomes more than 3,000 guests for courses on wine, cooking and pairings.
