A Massachusetts woman posted on Facebook on Thursday that she found a balloon with a heartfelt message that flew from Ohio to Massachusetts.

Heidi Kern Schwartz’s post on the Eaton VFW Post 8066 Facebook page said: “I found this balloon in Newton, MA on Tuesday, June 7. It says ‘I love and miss you daddy. Eaton, Ohio. 5-25-16.’ On the other side it says ‘Elizabeth’. Does anyone know who Elizabeth is? I’d love for her to find out how far her balloon went!”

This morning, the VFW commented on the Facebook post that the grandmother saw the post and informed everyone that Elizabeth and her sister sent up balloons to their father. They believe this one that was found was the father sending a message back to the girls that he misses and loves them very much.

The father was killed in action while serving overseas, according to the VFW’s response.
