Jamie Lee Curtis ‘ appearance on CBS’ “The Talk” struck a chord with businesswoman and fashion designer, Tina Knowles-Lawson.

In footage posted to the talk show’s Facebook page earlier this month, Curtis discussed how it felt after turning 60 and how she needed to let her creativity bloom.

“When I turned 60, I realized the tragedy of my death was not my death, but the creativity that I have inside me that didn’t get to come out,” Curtis said.

“So, I woke up at 60 and thought, ‘If not now, when? If not me, who?’”

Knowles-Lawson shared Curtis’ talk show appearance and message on Instagram on April 22.

“There is something that happens at 60 that causes you to feel like if not NOW When?” she captioned the video in part. “The exact thing happened to me !!! You do not want to run out of time! Is there anyone else that can relate!”

Curtis shows how growth does not stop with age. Since Curtis’ realization, she has created a production company, written a movie, and has four TV shows in production. Meanwhile, Knowles-Lawson encouraged her followers to go forth and try something new today.

Knowles-Lawson, 68, has previously discussed how aging didn’t stunt her success.

At the 2018 Black Enterprise Women of Power Summit, she talked about how she restarted her life at 58 by moving to a new city, and how she’s currently living her best life, according to Rolling Out.

This isn’t the first time Curtis has spoken about aging, either. She’s completely against the term “anti-aging” and says she’s “pro-aging” instead. Curtis promotes body positivity in aging and has talked about her dislike of using concealers, filters, and fillers on social media and in films.
