Pine Lake

On May 28, the Pine Lake Association of Involved Neighbors will host an Ice Cream Social and Memorial Day Picnic. Starting at 1 p.m. at the Beach House on Lakeshore Drive, visitors can remember those who have fallen while serving their country, as well as men and women actively serving in the military at this family-friendly event.

Decatur

This Memorial Day weekend, bring your friends and family to the Decatur Arts Festival on May 27 through 29. Throughout Downtown Decatur, you can experience the ArtWalk gallery showcase on Friday evening, followed by one of the largest art festivals in the city on Saturday and Sunday. Features and activities include a parade, silent auction, live music, stand-up comedy, an artist marketplace, kids art festival and performing arts presentations. On Sunday, the Callanwolde Concert Band and the Chancel Choir of Decatur First United Methodist Church will perform "For the Fallen," a special Memorial Day concert to honor veterans.
