John Fogerty
The father of the flannel shirt (a designation he embraces, as he mentioned in a recent interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution) will hit the stage with five musicians and tap the hits from his solo work and Creedence Clearwater Revival. He said working with other artists on his recent "Wrote a Song for Everyone" album — including Atlanta's Zac Brown Band — helped rekindle his passion for his well-respected catalog.

Magnets and Ghosts
Collective Soul's Dean Roland and Ryan Potesta (whom Roland met while working on Collective Soul's 2007 album "Afterwords") hit the road over the summer for their first tour, even though their debut album, the ethereal, Brit rock-influenced "Mass," arrived in 2011. The guys wrapped the tour at the Earl, but they're back for another hometown gig with Taylor White and Will Sowers anchoring the rhythm section on drums and bass, respectively.

Paula Cole
Still best known for her late ’90s hits “I Don’t Want to Wait” and “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone,” Cole released her sixth studio album, “Raven,” in April thanks to funding from a Kickstarter campaign. Most of the album was recorded in one week in a barn in Massachusetts.

Neutral Milk Hotel
The indie rockers with Athens roots have been around since the late-’80s, but it was 1998’s “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea” album that garnered them the most attention in the underground press. Leader Jeff Mangum dissolved the band in 1999 and suffered a nervous breakdown. Over the years, NMH members have been active in other projects associated with their Elephant 6 Recording Co. (the Apples in Stereo and Olivia Tremor Control among them), but this tour marks a reunion of the lineup from the celebrated “Aeroplane” days. And, FYI, the band is employing a strict no photos-no video policy, including cellphones, at their shows.

Selena Gomez
It wasn’t too long ago that Selena Gomez was making mall appearances to promote her movies; now she’s filling arenas with her music. The pop starlet, 21, is still best known to a certain demographic for her starring role in the Disney show “Wizards of Waverly Place.” But it’s her four-album singing career — three with her former band, the Scene — that is on display during her 20-song show. There will be plenty of grooving to fluffy hits “Who Says” and “Come & Get It,” but — Justin Bieber dating drama aside — Gomez has retained a family-friendly vibe.

Michael Buble
The ever-debonair singer (and new dad) will bring his suave stylings and snazzy suits to Gwinnett in support of his current album, “To Be Loved.” The Canadian crooner is breaking out the tux and the ageless covers — Van Morrison’s “Moondance,” the Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody” and the Nina Simone favorite “Feeling Good” are among those played in recent shows. But also expect to hear some Buble originals, such as his breezy 2010 hit “Haven’t Met You Yet.”

What better way to prepare for Halloween than by getting goo spritzed on you by the Richmond-based heavy metal horror masters? The shock rockers will rattle your brain and rib cage with their thundering, bulldozing music (they’ll also probably ruin your T-shirt, so wear something disposable). This Madness at the Core of Time tour is in support of GWAR’s 13th album, “Battle Maximus,” released in September.
