Italian restaurants

Last week was Italian week on the Food & More blog as I continued my tour of 30 Atlanta restaurants. When an Italian restaurant clicks, it gets the big picture, the reason we like to go out to eat. There’s a warmth to the setting, a generosity of spirit to the service, a feeling that you’re being taken care of. See the blog to find out which Italian spots I chose.

Pastry chef moves

There’s been another shake-up in the pastry department at Cakes & Ale. The restaurant announced that sous chef David Garcia will move into the position of pastry chef of the bakery/cafe. Eric Wolitzky, who moved to Atlanta last year to lead the Cakes & Ale pastry department, has been hired to take over pastries for Fifth Group Restaurants.

Bojangles’

I’ve never made a secret of the fact that I love fast-food breakfast, and without question, my all-time favorite fast-food breakfast item has to be the Cajun filet biscuit from Bojangles’. They’ve recently announced plans to open locations in Norcross, Duluth and Tucker. I can’t be the only one excited about the expansion of Bojangles’ in the metro area.
