Before becoming a finalist on NBC’s “The Voice,” singer Chris Jamison drove around in a maroon Jeep Liberty that his father purchased for him. That was under one condition; he had to share it with his two sisters.

Even after his success on the hit show, Jamison continued to use the old truck. Like many siblings sharing vehicles, the Jamison kids had to split time with their beloved Jeep, which led to the occasional conflicting schedule.

“When I went to school, I used to take it with me,” Jamison said. “My sisters used to ask why wouldn’t I leave it for them so now that I have my own car, I don’t have to deal with that anymore.”

Jamison won't have to share a ride with his sisters after getting a customized 2015 Nissan Altima as a reward for being a finalist on The Voice Friday.

“I love my new car. It’s great,” Jamison said. “I’m just grateful for the show and everybody that supported me.”

Now that the Pittsburgh singer has his own car, he is more than happy to give his sisters full access to the Jeep Liberty.

“I’m sure they’re happy, though,” Jamison said. “I’ve been kind of hogging the car for a while.”
