Here’s what employees said about Cornerstone Preparatory Academy, the top small workplace winner in out AJC Top Workplaces Awards.

They have a genuine concern for the students' well-being. The leadership promotes a level of high expectation. The leadership values your input. The leadership displays a high level of professionalism. The leadership is warm and inviting.

I feel I can do a good job with the resources and support that I have and with a manageable number of students in each class.

I am able to contribute to something that is meaningful and important. As a school, we are able to partner with parents in the education of their children, as well as in the students' spiritual growth and understanding. In my role, I am privileged to work alongside quality people in a respectful environment as we work in various ways to support our families.

Not many people are able to say they love their job and their workplace. I just told my husband the other evening, on a scale of 1-10, I give my job an 11! I've worked in many other schools and businesses, and I can honestly say I have never been happier than I have been since I started teaching at Cornerstone. Because I love where I work, I am able to do my best work and be my best self for the betterment of the students and families!

I am able to work with students and teach them using tools and techniques that I believe make it easier or better for them with the full support of the school. I'm constantly encouraged and backed by the decisions I make in my classroom, and that speaks volumes of the environment they have cultivated.

I get to do what I love in a workplace I truly believe in with the flexibility I need to have a healthy work/life balance. I also love that I work with a team that puts "we" before "me" and works wholeheartedly for the Lord and the mission of this school.

I get to invest in the lives of students and teach more than just a subject. I get to encourage their strengths, share biblical truth and have any resource provided for me that I need.

It is awesome to see how the Lord is using the school to raise up students who love Jesus and live out their faith unashamedly.

The students are amazing. There are no disciple problems. The culture and attitude is conducive to learning. There is a warm and inviting atmosphere. The leadership projects a positive vision of what the school stands for.

It's an amazing environment for students and teachers to grow, to learn and to work together.

The staff and students make it a fun and engaging place to be. Everyone does their job at high standards and we all have one goal in teaching our students.

Being part time allows me to teach what I love but also have time to dedicate to my family. I believe the staff truly care about the students and subjects we teach.

I am listened to and I feel my concerns/feelings are accepted and considered. Teachers are felt as part of the school/team and not just a worker.

I can balance my career and home life and feel so supported and valued by administration. They truly value my time and trust my judgment.
