A new Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park opening soon in Roswell is hoping you’ll jump at the chance to join its workforce.
The Sky Zone, the second in metro Atlanta, is holding a job fair today and Saturday to hire for 100 positions, both part and full time. The 43,000-square-foot park, which will open in mid-November, is being called the largest indoor trampoline park in the country.
The job fair is 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday at 1425 Market Blvd Suite A-100. It’s the site of a former Home Depot. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
The first Sky Zone locally opened in Suwanee last year on Old Peachtree Road.
Georgia's unemployment rate remains around 9 percent, but there are signs of more hiring and fewer layoffs. The rate in September was down from 9.3 percent the previous month. The highest job growth over the past year has been in professional and business services; trade, transportation and warehousing; education and health care; manufacturing; technology; and leisure and hospitality, which include businesses like Sky Zone.
Sky Zone will be competing with scores of other businesses that are hiring, many for the upcoming holidays.
Some of the job fairs are targeted, such as the free Atlanta Veteran Job Fair for military veterans transitioning back to civilian life. It's Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park.
The Georgia Department of Labor maintains a running list of upcoming job fairs.
