Chick-fil-A is selling “Lemonade fresher than Beyonce’s.”

At least that’s the idea being pushed by some of the chain’s stores around the country, including one here in Atlanta.

A few of the fast-food giant’s locations on Tuesday began using their outdoor message boards to advertise — tongue firmly in cheek — lemonade tastier than that of the pop star. The claim was a reference to the 34-year-old “Single Ladies” singer’s new album titled “Lemonade.”

Beyonce fans — known as the "Beyhive" — quickly took to social media to buzz about the promotion.

“Why did ChickFilA put up a sign saying their lemonade is fresher than Beyoncé’s? They don’t know what they are getting themselves into,” wrote poster @lanalouuu.

Said @AlyssaBigBee, “Let’s give #ChickFilA a B for effort in that failed attempt to use Beyoncé to market their lemonade.”

Others found ways to show love for both.

“No other lemonade compares to @ChickfilAexcept maybe Beyonce’s,” said @peppermintsntch.

For its part, Chick-fil-A seemed to enjoy putting a little honey in the debate.

“We certainly didn’t mean to kick a hornet’s nest — or ‘beyhive’ in this case,” said spokesman Mark Baldwin. “Some of our local restaurants were simply having fun promoting one of our signature menu offerings. We have the utmost respect for Beyonce and the ‘Beyhive’ faithful!”
