American Textile Co., a maker of pillow and mattress encasements and other bedding products, said it has doubled the size of a Tifton plant and plans to double the plant’s employment in the months ahead.

The Duquesne, Pa.-based company plans to hire 100 people at the South Georgia manufacturing and distribution center over the next three years, bringing to 300 the number that will be employed.

American Textile produces store brand bedding and products under the Aller-Ease, RestRight and, EvenTemp brands.
