Fans of Chick-fil-A know all about the First 100 openings. On Wednesday, more than 80 guests arrived at 6 a.m. in Cobb County for the grand re-opening of the Chick-fil-A at Akers Mill. As the First 100 rules dictate, guests can camp out 24-hours in advance of the grand-opening for a chance to receive a year supply of Chick-fil-A.
The restaurant at 2975 Cobb Parkway is drive-thru only and is located about a half-mile from the Braves new SunTrust Park. It took five months to completely rebuild the location to better serve customers, said franchise owner Marshall McCabe.
Guests waiting in line will be fed breakfast, lunch and dinner with an evening snack. There are also games, entertainment and more to help them pass the time. As always, the event is limited to certain zip codes. See here for a full list: http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Locations/Openings .
McCabe kicked off the festivities on Monday with a VIP Premiere Night Party with invited guests from Coke, the Atlanta Braves, Chick-fil-A and more. Guests had the opportunity to sample signature menu items and they were treated to a tour of the conveyor belt system. McCabe and prominent community members gave presentations to the grown, guests took photos with the Chick-fil-A cow and there was a ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the Grand Opening.
