Chris Hardwick and the folks at AMC previewed the 90-minute season 6 debut of "The Walking Dead" tonight on a special edition of "Talking Dead."

The drama, shot primary in Senoia, returns October 11.

Show runner Scott Gimple was a guest on "Talking Dead" and he said he feels pressure to make things bigger and better. Will Rick's crew truly meld with Alexandrians? How will his killing of Pete change the dynamic?

"The episode is a little bit of a puzzle," Gimple said of the season debut. "It fires the audience out of the cannon."

Here are a dozen more questions to ponder:

  • How truly zen is Morgan now that he has reunited with Rick?
  • Will Morgan and Rick remain friends this season?
  • How difficult will it be to take down the wolves?
  • Walkers don't die very easily. "Walking Dead" promises even more hordes. How many is too many?
  • Will Deanna and Rick maintain uneasy allies after Reg is killed?
  • Is Gabriel doomed? Or will he find redemption?
  • Will Carol remain hidden for long as Alexandria's sweet-hearted aunt?
  • Clearly, Chandler Riggs is aging faster than the time frame passing on the show. If he suddenly shoots up six inches in an off season, how will they handle it? Might they have to off him?
  • Last year, all five original members from season one survived. Will the producers keep all of them around again this season?
  • Who are the four new Alexandria characters? Gimple said two are beloved comic book characters and one is an amalgam.
  • Is there an area of Alexandria where the residents grow food? Shouldn't there be chickens and other livestock somewhere? Shouldn't there be gardens, as Rick & Co. tried to do at the prison?
