FBI Director James Comey has been forced to step in and address rumors published by Fox News and others that ISIS has established terrorist training camps in Mexico, right across the Texas border, where they are no doubt practicing mass beheadings and other horrors.
"Nonsense," Comey says. "Not true. ... There's nothing to it."
Nothing to it. OK. But ... how do we know for sure? I mean, really for sure?
Think about it: On the one hand we have published reports about the terror camps from Fox News, the most trusted news source in the country. And on the other we have an Obama appointee, expecting us to swallow everything that they cram down our throats, as if we were helpless babies eager for another feeding of Uncle Sugar's Pablum. Which should we believe?
Meanwhile, in a (perhaps) unrelated development, the Pentagon this week reassured Americans that President Obama is NOT secretly conspiring to invade the sovereign state of Texas this summer, seize the weapons of private citizens, imprison thousands of resisters and impose martial law on Texas and six other states. Such rumors are "wild speculation," Col. Steven Warren said from Washington.
Yeah, maybe.
Or maybe it's informed insight!!! Let me ask you: If Obama really WAS plotting to seize military control of the heart of Red America, what would his henchmen at the Pentagon be telling us? They would dismiss such reports as "wild speculation," correct?
It fits together all too well. The ISIS camps. The open border. How easy would it be to sit back and wait for the inevitable terror attack, then use it as an excuse to invade like Hitler used the Reichstag fire? Why let a good crisis go to waste? Especially after you consider the mysterious closings of Wal-Mart stores and Caterpillar distribution centers in areas that would be perfect as military staging areas and as holding facilities for thousands of U.S. civilians taken captive by Obama.
I mean, look at this map, produced by the Pentagon as part of "Jade Helm 15", its so-called "military training exercise" to be conducted this summer by Special Ops troops.
Note that Texas and Utah, both of which voted overwhelmingly against the Kenyan Usurper, are labeled "hostile", while Obama-supporting California and Colorado are "permissive." Coincidence? It would be wild speculation to think it was merely that.
The good news is that thanks to modern-day Paul Reveres, the patriots have been notified and actions are being taken. One alert American even figured out the code and passed it on to the OathKeepers: "Jade Helm. Jade is blue. Helm is German for helmet. Blue Helmet. UN blue helmets?" Only a great mind could have figured that one out. (And yes, I fully realize that jade is green. That's part of what makes the codebreaker so brilliant).
In response to such concerns, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered the Texas State Guard to monitor the federal government's troop movements and all other actions, to ensure that the civil liberties and constitutional rights of Texans are protected. As a former well-known member of the famed Texas Rangers put it, "Concerned Texans and Americans are in no way calling into question our brave and courageous men and women in uniform. They are merely following orders. What's under question are those who are pulling the strings at the top of Jade Helm 15 back in Washington."
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has also insisted that Americans have cause to be wary:
"I understand the reason for concern and uncertainty, because when the federal government has not demonstrated itself to be trustworthy in this administration, the natural consequence is that many citizens don’t trust what it is saying,” Cruz told us. "I think part of the reason is we have seen, for six years, a federal government disrespecting the liberty of the citizens. That produces fear, when you see a government that is attacking our free speech rights, or Second Amendment rights, or religious liberty rights. That produces distrust.”
Compare Cruz's statesman-like style of visionary leadership to the mouth-foaming of quislings such as state Rep. Todd Smith, a Texas Republican who has attacked Gov. Abbott like the obedient little Obama-bot that he apparently is.
In a letter to Abbott, Smith wrote:
"As a 16-year Republican member of the Texas House and a patriotic AMERICAN, I am horrified that I have to choose between the possibility that my Governor actually believes this stuff and the possibility that my Governor doesn't have the backbone to stand up to those who do. I'm not sure which is worse.
"As one of the remaining Republicans who actually believes in making decisions based on facts and evidence -- you used to be a judge? -- I am appalled that you would give credence to the nonsense mouthed by those who instead make decisions based on internet or radio shock-jock driven hysteria. Is there ANYBODY who is going to stand up to this radical nonsense that is cancer on our State and Party? "
Facts? Evidence?
Jade Helm is a fact. The map is evidence. The ISIS camps exist, because Fox says so. The closed Wal-Marts are facts. And the White House is occupied by a man by the name of Barack Hussein Obama. Given all that, it would be grossly irresponsible -- and downright unAmerican -- not to speculate wildly and draw ridiculous conclusions, and it would be wrong of our leaders to do anything but pander to us in the process.
