GHSF Daily asked Georgia head coaches to answer these four questions. We'll report from a different head coach each day.

Tim Adams, Jenkins

1. Who is/was the most influential person in your coaching career? "Jeff Herron, Camden County [now at Prince Avenue Christian]. Because we were forced to play up in classification, I had the misfortune of coaching against Jeff for many years, and his teams were far superior than mine. I quickly learned that Jeff was a very organized and excellent football coach. But I also got to know a very confident and successful coach that was not arrogant and full of himself. From the first time we met, Jeff has always been encouraging and helpful to me as a coach. He set a good example that I noticed and remembered."

2. Who is the best Georgia player you ever faced? "Greg Reid, Lowndes. I did not face him while coaching my team, but I got a chance to coach him as an assistant defensive coach with the South team in the 2008 North/South All-Star Game. The South won 17-0. What I saw in practice and his excellent game performance was awesome. He could do it all, and better than the others."

3. What is the best team you ever faced as a coach?"2008 15-0 Camden County. They were very, very good in all phases of the game."

4. If you were Gary Phillips, the new head of the GHSA, what would be the first rule that you would try to change? "More of a comment than a rule - more representation from the southern part of the state in the decision-making processes."
