Overnight drivers will have as much of a headache with their commute as back-to-school drivers will.

Drivers can expect double right lane closures on I-75 southbound between Windy Ridge Parkway and Akers Mill Road from 10 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The closures are part of the Northwest Corridor express lanes project bridge work.

In addition to the double right lane closures, the I-75 southbound ramp to the I-285 eastbound ramp, or exit No. 259A will also be closed.

But not to worry. There will be a detour in place for those exiting at 259A.

Drivers travelling I-285 eastbound from I-75 southbound will redirect to take the I-75 southbound ramp, or exit No. 258, to Cumberland Boulevard.

Drivers will then turn left on Cumberland Boulevard and then make another left to the I-75 northbound ramp to access road I-285 eastbound.

If it rains, the closures will take place from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.
