Good news for Six Flags fans—the drive toward the park is about to see big improvements.
Recently Cobb County won a $1.6 million grant to update the section of Riverside Parkway from I-20 eastbound to Six Flags Drive. In addition to realigning an intersection, Cobb County will also improve sidewalks, traffic signals and signage along the road.
The goal is to make the drive as efficient as possible for thousands of employees and park guests.
The State Road and Tollway Authority awarded the grant to Cobb County. Transportation/engineering merit, economic merit, local, state and federal matching funds and project specifics factored into the selection process.
