As we've previously reported, the first full week after the I-85 bridge collapse in Atlanta was a relatively easy one because many people were on vacation for spring break.
But with everyone back to school and work, the Georgia Department of Transportation expects traffic to increase up to 20 percent beginning today.
There are plenty of options for making your commute a little easier. But let's be real: Driving in metro Atlanta isn't going to be much fun before the I-85 bridge is rebuilt in June.
We're monitoring this morning's commute from GDOT's Transportation Management Center in Atlanta. But we'd also like to hear from you. If you have a story to share about your commute – and if you're willing to be quoted in the newspaper – contact me at dwickert@ajc.com.
While you're waiting to leave, check out our in-depth exploration of who's to blame for the bridge collapse.
