The new
Russell Crowe/Ryan Gosling
movie "The Nice Guys" is filming
It's also filming in Atlanta's Castleberry Hill area today and since the movie folks are such nice guys themselves, they sent out a notice to affected residents and businesses.
And here's the filming notice with info on road/sidewalk closures, via the Castleberry Hill neighborhood site:
"Misty Mountains Productions will be filming scenes for the movie "The Nice Guys" at the Peters Street Bridge on Oct. 27. From midnight to 10 p.m. we will maintain the following lane and sidewalk closures:
Lane closures on the east and westbound curb lanes of Peters Street between Fair Street and Spring Street.
Northern sidewalk of Peters Street between Fair Street and Spring Street.
Additionally, Peters Street will be fully closed to traffic between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Our road and lane closures will be marked with Emergency 'No Parking' signs prior to filming and maintained by off-duty APD officers. All work on Peters Street has been permitted through the Georgia Department of Transportation, and the sidewalk closure through the City of Atlanta.

Our day of filming should conclude approximately at 2 p.m. with the end of our road closure. Once we complete our filming and rap all equipment, we will release all parking lanes as early as possible. Additionally, we will allow pedestrian access to businesses and residences through the day. We will just need to hold foot traffic while our cameras are rolling.
We hope this is a fun and professional experience for the neighborhood and would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation with our proposed work."
