"The Rap Game," co-executive produced by Queen Latifah, airs at 10 p.m. Fridays on Lifetime and features young hip hop artists hoping to be Jermaine Dupri's next discovery. Latifah discussed the new show during a recent visit to Ellen DeGeneres' talk show.

"It's so exciting," Queen Latifah said of the new show. "All these kids have developed huge followings on Twitter or Instagram. Now it's time to get into the real rap game. We got Jermaine Dupri, one of our friends for many years, to be the head honcho of this thing. He's the one who brought you Da Brat, Bow Wow, Kris Kross, he worked with TLC - everybody, you name it, in Atlanta. It's going to be fun to watch."
