The time he surprised Sylvester Stallone at the 1977 Oscars and then challenged the "Rocky" star to a little impromptu sparring. Classic!
That time he visited "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. Carson revealed he had boxed some in the U.S. Navy and Ali graciously said he must have been pretty good, since he didn't see any marks on him. Carson responded he didn't see any battle scars on Ali, either. "Well... I am pretty good!" Ali responded.
That time his grade-school teacher surprised him on "This is Your Life." The champ got a little emotional. "I can't believe this," he said tenderly.
That time he guest-starred on "Diff'rent Strokes." Willis and Kimberly know their little brother Arnold's fondest wish is to meet the champ, so they concoct a story to lure Ali over. They tell him Arnold's gravely ill. This coincides with a charity auction their dad Mr. Drummond is working on, hence the presence of the jovial priest in this clip. (Sorry the quality is not so hot.)
