FRIDAY
Tasting Tents: 3- 6 p.m.
Opening Reception Toast
- TIME: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- LOCATION: Hotel Lobby
- Raise a glass to the start of Atlanta's Food & Wine Festival. Imbibe as you prepare for a weekend of indulgences.
Drinking Primer
- TIME: 12- 1 p.m.
- LOCATION: Dunwoody conference room
- We will try to walk a straight line at this festival but with bourbon, whiskey, wine and craft beer, we can't make promises. At least this session gives you a cheat sheet on different alcohol levels in drinks. Hopefully it will teach you how to pace yourself on pours throughout the weekend, or at least for a few hours.
About South Dinner
- TIME: 7:30 p.m.
- LOCATION: Atlanta History Center
- The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is the only festival focused solely on the cuisine of the South, and this dinner is the iconic celebration of its history. Atlanta chefs include Steven Satterfield, Asha Gomez, Gerry Klaskala, Todd Richards and Anne Quatrano.
SATURDAY
Tasting Tents: 2- 5 p.m.
Connoisseur Breakfast: Fast Casual
- TIME: 9 – 10 a.m.
- LOCATION: Connoisseur Lounge
- A nod to the breakfast fetishes of McDonald's and Chick Fil A, except we are dealing with chefs here. Expect unique, fresh and healthy twists on fast food favorites.
Anne Quatrano “Summerland” book signing
- TIME: 11 a.m.
Southern Sensations
- TIME: 1-2 p.m.
- LOCATION: Dunwoody conference room
- Explore how flavors and cuisines touch on all the senses, beyond just your tastebuds. This is the first time London-based sensory branding agency Condiment Junkie shares their findings in the U.S.
Ark of Taste dinner
- TIME: 7 p.m.
- LOCATION: Restaurant Euguene
- This dinner celebrates the South's ingredients that are currently on Slow Food International's Ark of Taste endangered list.
SUNDAY
Tasting Tents: 1:30-4:30 p.m.
Empire Breakfast
- TIME: 10-11 a.m.
- LOCATION: Grilling Terrace
- This gathering of Atlanta's iconic restaurateurs includes Ford Fry and E.J. Hodgkinson, and they serve up their favorite breakfasts.
Kevin Gillespie “Fire in my Belly” book signing
- TIME: 12 p.m.
The Brothers Grill, Part IV
- TIME: 12:30- 1:30 p.m.
- LOCATION: Grilling Terrace
- Kevin and Kent Rathbun show off their grilling prowess (or is it genetics) and give tips on how to get the best grilled meats.
