Brooks Cloud, Julian Goglia, and Mike Blydenstein, the partners behind The Pinewood in Decatur and Proof Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup, are set to open their new restaurant, The Mercury, at Ponce City Market on Jan. 12.

Billed as "a cocktail-focused, classic American eatery," The Mercury will offer "an updated take on Mid-Century American cuisine and classic cocktails inspired by the culture of the 1960s."

Dinner service is slated to begin at 5 p.m. on Jan. 12 with lunch service beginning at 11:00 a.m. on January 18.

Here's more info on the menu and concept from today's press release:

Executive Chef Mike Blydenstein will offer a menu of perfectly-executed classic American fare which will include an extensive raw bar, steaks and chops, and balanced, straightforward entrees featuring seasonal produce and responsibly-sourced protein. Starters include Crab Bouillets, Lobster Fritters with Cheddar Cheese and Tarragon Mayo, Pommes Soufflés and a Crudo of the Day. Diners can enjoy entrees from the sea or land with offerings that include Revere Meat Co. Certified Prime Rib, Day Boat Gulf Grouper and Grilled Atlantic Swordfish. The Merc’s Mac & Cheese, Pommes Gallette or Grilled Asparagus Béarnaise are the perfect addition to any entrée.

Atlanta’s Bartender of the Year and Beverage Director Julian Goglia is curating a bar experience that is inspired by the relaxed glamour of Mid-Century cocktail culture featuring house made ingredients. Goglia’s famed Proof Old Fashioned Cocktail Syrup will be the finishing touch to many of his premium cocktails.

Connecting directly with the Atlanta BeltLine, The Mercury occupies a space on the second floor of the Central Food Hall at Ponce City Market. Atlanta’s Square Feet Studio designed the 4,400 foot restaurant and the Structor Group managed restaurant construction. The Mercury will seat 200 and will also offer private dining options and large group reservations.
