The Hunger Walk/Run is in its 31st year here in Atlanta. Since 1984, the fundraiser has raised more than $7 million for hunger relief- benefitting the Atlanta Community Food Bank and local nonprofits that support food pantries, shelters and community kitchens. This year's fundraiser is on March 15 and several Atlanta restaurants are participating. If you can't make it to the Hunger Walk/Run, you can still support the fundraiser with local deals from Atlanta area restaurants.
Support the Hunger Walk/Run fundraiser by dining out with these deals, from now until March 18:
- Bocado : Order the Old Fashioned cocktail and a portion of sales benefit ACFB.
- Bocado Burger : Order the Black Forest Shake and a portion of proceeds benefit ACFB.
- One Midtown Kitchen: $1 from each "One Martini" or 100 percent of "Hunger Walk Punch" sales benefit ACFB.
- The Optimist : 100 percent of proceeds from "Hunger Walktail" cocktail go toward ACFB.
- Parish : 100 percent of proceeds from "Parish Punch" cocktail go toward ACFB.
- The Spence : $1 from every "Maldito's Crutch" cocktail sales benefit ACFB.
- TAP : $3 from each sangria (changes weekly) benefit ACFB.
- TWO Urban Licks : $2 from each sale of their "Crush" and "TWO Punch" cocktails benefits ACFB.
- JCT. Kitchen & Bar: 90 percent of proceeds for the "Hunger Walk" cocktail benefit ACFB.
- One Midtown Kitchen : $1 from each "calamari" appetizer goes toward ACFB.
- The Spence : $1 from every "bone marrow" appetizer goes toward ACFB.
- TAP : 100 percent of "Cajun-style boiled peanuts" sale goes toward ACFB.
- TWO Urban Licks : $1 from every sale of their "pimento cheese hushpuppies" goes toward ACFB.
- Agave : Dine-out tonight, March 3 and 20 percent of sales goes toward ACFB.
- Saltyard : 10 percent of sales on full meal, or 20 percent of sales from those that order the "Monday Night Date Night" Menu (4 course prix fixe for $25) on Monday, March 9 goes toward ACFB.
- One Midtown Kitchen : 50 percent of "Hunger Walk pasta bowl" goes toward ACFB.
- Twin Smokers : $0.25 of every pound of meat sold will benefit ACFB.
- Yeah! Burger : 10 percent of sales on Tuesday, March 17 willbenefit ACFB.
