Summer time is game time! Remember when we were kids and we spent hours in the backyard trying to beat our siblings and friends at games of tag and catch? Lucky for us, we don’t have to say goodbye to friendly competition. We rounded up a few restaurants that let the good times roll. It’s not child’s play anymore, grab your cocktail and bring your coordination to these summer games.
Ping Pong
Nestled between buildings in No. 246's urban backyard, you'll find a charming shaded patio complete with string lights and a ping pong table. Or take a break from shopping at Atlantic Station and play in the alley by Meehan's Public House. Polish your forehand and backhand as you lunge left and right, aiming for your power shot.
Corn hole
The downtown Tucker late-night spot The Local No. 7 has corn hole on its back porch, welcoming the relaxing game of beanie toss to the cusp of the suburbs. When you want to pair craft cocktails with corn hole, head to the grassy field by Milton's Acre at Milton's Cuisine and Cocktails. When competition gets fierce and you break a sweat, the casual outdoor corn hole space at Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market allows you to come as you are. Take a break to sample a range of food truck fare that varies daily. Or check out One Eared Stag's patio corn hole. All summer they've been doing a tournament, and the finals are Sunday August 3.

Mini Golf
The Optimist's patio plays host to a two-hole mini golf course, so you can sink a putt while sipping on a cocktail before or after your meal. On Fridays and Saturdays, live music floats through the air, giving this West Midtown spot a bit of a country club vibe.
Bocce Ball
Possibly one of the oldest games in the world, bocce ball was said to begin in Egypt, where players used polished rocks. Now centuries later, this has turned into a more laid-back drinking game. But you can find the Atlanta Bocce League rolling out some fierce competition at restaurants around town:
- Two Urban Licks
- Midway Pub
- Double Zero Napoletana-Two full-sized courts pair the European sport with Italian cuisine like Neapolitan pizza and handmade pasta.
- Augustine's
- Harbor House Pub
- Ormsby's – Come here if you're looking to escape the sun. The bocce courts are in the basement, away from the heat, making it a chill place to play.
*Tournament alert: Smoke Ring will be hosting a wiffle ball tournament Saturday September 20th. More details are in the works, but it's never too early to start practicing!*
