Get a taste of some of metro Atlanta's top spots during New South Culinary Week

If one day you're feeling like sushi and the next day tapas are calling your name, you're in luck -- a variety of restaurant are offering eclectic menus during New South Culinary Week. Combining Midtown Restaurant Week and Buckhead Restaurant Week, with some spots in other areas thrown in, the weeklong event -- running from Oct. 1-8, gives food lovers a chance to sample food from different restaurants with affordable tasting menus.

Alma Cocina

The Mexican menu's options include guacamole, roasted chicken mole and the Alma sundae for $35.

The $35 three-course prix fixe menu includes a variety of choices at each course, with dishes including piquillo peppers with braised beef, lamb shank with chickpeas, crème fraiche, roasted Cipollini and broccoli rabe leaves, and a slice of opera cake with hazelnut milk jam.

During lunch, get two tapas along with your choice of  chocolate turtle cake, trés leches and Spanish flan for $15. For dinner, get your choice of three tapas and a glass of sangria for $35.
