Apples, cherries, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, cinnamon, coffee tea… what do they all have in common? All contain toxins. However, these toxins are harmful only in large doses. In everyday doses, it’s these toxins that lend to the smell, taste, or stimulant effects of these ingredients.

This Sunday, Fernbank Museum hosts a "Dangerously Delicious Tasting Event" as part of the "Power of Poison" exhibition. The tasting event highlights common ingredients that are "poisonous." Local restaurants and purveyors that will sample their "deadly" dishes include: The Melting Pot Midtown's chocolate fondue, JudiCakes chocolate chunk and caramel apple cakes and seasonal honeys from Blue Haven Bee Company.

The details:

Sunday, April 26 from 12 until 3 p.m. Fernbank Museum members have early access to the tasting tables at 11:30 a.m. The event is included with museum admission.
