There's a redesigned space in Buckhead for drinks and small plates housed in a familiar spot.

Atlas, the restaurant that opened inside the St. Regis Hotel in 2015 , is now also home to The Tavern at Atlanta, a chef-driven concept that features craft cocktails and locally-sourced small plates. The restaurant started work on remodeling its bar and library last year, resulting in a more casual complement to the formal dining room, with new drink and food menus.

The new design features over-scaled tables and chairs, with materials including gold tones, velvets and faux ostrich upholstery with walnut wood tables.

Atlas executive chef Christopher Grossman , who trained under Gerry Klaskala at Buckhead restaurant Aria, also created the menu for the Tavern. Klaskala had a consulting chef agreement with Atlas when it first opened.

Rounding out the Tavern team is pastry chef Christian Castillo, who was previously with Pricci, and general manager Geno Dew, who previously served as manager of STK in Midtown.

In addition to Tavern, Atlas is also welcoming back its art installation featuring 30 pieces from artists including Foujita, Monet, Chagall, Modigliani and Soutine.

Tavern at Atlas will be open daily from 4 p.m.
