Stock Up: 3 food and drink picks for Atlanta shoppers
Georgia sheep’s cheese
Looking for something to pair with that glass of cooling rose wine? Look no further than Condor's Ruin, a sheep's cheese by Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia producer Many Fold Farm . The farmstead cheese, which recently took first place at the national American Cheese Society Competition in the category of sheep's milk aged between 30 and 60 days old, is dense and creamy and with beautiful markings from ash ripening. Sold in 5- to 6-ounce packages, the cheese usually runs out of stock by late September, so nab yours now. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until next year. $16-$18, Peachtree Road Farmers Market, 2744 Peachtree Road, Atlanta. 770-463-0677, manyfoldfarm.com.

Fruit vinegar
A shrub is essentially a vinegar-based simple syrup that bartenders use to add tangy sweetness to cocktails . Now that we've found Petitzel fruit vinegars from South Korean food company CJ CheilJedang, we're mixing it at home – with booze and without. While there are numerous flavors, including grape and apple, we're partial to pomegranate. Topped with seltzer and served on ice, it's a refreshing way to get through the dog days of summer. $6.99, H Mart. 6035 Peachtree Road, Doraville. 770-986-2300, hmart.com.

Pepper grinder
Grinding pepper tableside just got fancier. Dinner guests will geek out when you offer them a few cracks from this pepper mill by Greenville, South Carolina craftsman and disabled military veteran Michael Church of MC Woodturnings. Made either of corian or granite, no two grinders are alike, but they all come with an adjustable grind at the top. Your Caesar salad never tasted so good. $59.95, Oil & Vinegar, Perimeter Mall, 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Atlanta. 770-391-5856, oilvinegar.com.
