Southern Proper Hospitality Group is opening a second location of its popular Buckhead restaurant, The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill at 5 p.m. today.

Located on busy Canton Street in downtown Roswell, the design by the Marty Mason Design Group "blends nautical and coastal influences with industrial touches" in a 4000-square-foot interior that seats 169 and features two separate dining rooms and a bar area, plus an outdoor patio.

Executive chef Derek Dollar, who leads the kitchen at Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails in Crabapple, will lend his touch to the menu. "We are really looking forward to providing fresh seafood options and genuine hospitality on Canton Street, which is already such an impressive dining destination," Dollar said in a press release.

Lunch and dinner items include a Charleston curry seafood quinoa bowl, an ahi tuna banh mi sandwich, jerked pork chops, a grouper Reuben, and a hot buttered or chilled lobster roll. Monday-Friday from 5-6 p.m. is oyster hour, with half-off a dozen oysters.

In addition to Big Ketch and Milton’s, Southern Proper also operates Smokebelly BBQ, The Blind Pig, Gypsy Kitchen and The Southern Gentleman in Buckhead.
