This week, Portland Maine’s Allagash Brewing Co. launched its new four-packs of 16 ounce Allagash White and River Trip cans in Georgia with a party at Argosy in East Atlanta Village hosted by brewmaster Jason Perkins.
In honor of that tasty time, Allagash White is this week’s classic Beer Pick.

Allagash Brewing Co., Portland, Maine
Available on draft and now in four-packs of 16 ounce cans.
Profile
Allagash was one of the first American craft breweries to make Belgian-style beers. Its flagship, Allagash White, is a traditional Belgian-style witbier — described as “an example of one of the few styles beers that was originally designed to be hazy.”
Brewed with a combination malt, oats, and wheat, and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, White is light, fruity and refreshing, with a pale straw color, bubbly white head, and soft and silky mouthfeel.
Pair with
Classic Belgian witbier is easygoing, versatile and very food friendly, and White is no exception. Enjoy it with salads of all sorts, goat cheese, omelettes, seafood, including sushi and oysters, and Thai and Vietnamese dishes.
