On June 23, Dogfish Head celebrated its 25th anniversary, and announced the release of “The Dogfish Head Book: 25 Years of Off-Centered Adventures,” which will debut Sept. 1.
A perennial favorite, 60 Minute IPA is still Dogfish Head’s best-selling beer, and in celebration of the brewery’s 25th anniversary, “it is now sporting a new, more off-centered look.”
In honor of all that, 60 Minute is this week’s Beer Pick.

Available in 6-pack 12-ounce bottles and cans, and on draft
Profile
Over the years, Dogfish Head has rereleased at lot of “off-centered” beers, but 60 Minute IPA remains the best-seller, and with good reason. Dogfish says, “brewed using boatload of intense Northwest hops, we boil this continually hopped IPA for a full 60 minutes, adding more than 60 hop additions continuously to create a bold and timeless flavor.”
At 6 % percent alcohol, with an amber-gold color and bubbly white head, it’s crisp and clean, and very well balanced, with juicy citrus and soft grassy notes, and an easygoing bittersweet finish.
Pair with
Dogfish Head recommends pairing 60 minute IPA with spicy foods, pesto, grilled salmon, soy-based dishes, and pizza. It would certainly do well with backyard burgers this weekend, too, whether beef, turkey or plant-based.
