Metro Atlantans can expect a warm and sunny Sunday, but be sure to enjoy it.
We’re in for wet weather this week, kicking off with possible severe storms and even isolated tornadoes Monday, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologists.
The high Sunday is expected to near 80 degrees and winds from the southeast may gust at times to 20 mph, Walls said.
Temps are expected to stay well above average highs for this time of year well into Sunday evening.
Current temperatures are 80 degrees in Atlanta, 76 degrees in Blairsville and 86 degrees in LaGrange.
While weather won’t be a factor for your Monday morning commute, meteorologist Katie Walls said potentially severe storms are expected in the afternoon into the evening.
“A picture perfect weekend could give way to a chaotic commute Monday afternoon,” Walls said.
The pollen count remains where it’s been in recent days: in the high range, but some of the incoming rain may help wash pollen away.
