Currently, the temperature is 72 degrees in Atlanta, down from a high of 80, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The average high for this time of year is 68.

That warm weather brought a few showers across parts of metro Atlanta earlier, but they will drop off through the evening, Channel 2 Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

There remains a 20 percent rain chance Friday and a 30 percent chance Saturday.

“We're going to have several days of summer,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Expect a 77-degree high Saturday and Sunday. Some areas, including Eatonton, LaGrange and Rome, could see highs in the 80s.
