Plan on a wet morning commute Wednesday.
Expect cloudy, widespread light showers about 7 a.m. with lows in the 70s, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Scattered showers should linger by the afternoon as highs near 81 degrees. Winds should push storms west and south of Atlanta, Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
Rain chances are at 60 percent through Friday, but temperatures aren’t expected to dip past 80 degrees, which is below the average of 89 for this time of year. Atlanta reached a high of 76 degrees.
Earlier, storms were largely concentrated south of I-20 with isolated showers in south Cherokee and parts of north Fulton counties.
Showers are expected about 11 p.m., but most of the downpours will be concentrated east of the metro area, Nitz said.
