Must-see: Boeing plane makes jaw-dropping vertical takeoff

This could scare even the bravest flyer. 

A new video posted to Boeing's YouTube channel shows three crew members taking the Vietnam Airlines plane on a test flight to prepare for the 2015 Paris Air Show on June 15.

The 787-9 Dreamliner is seen taking off down the runway near Moses Lake in Washington, according to CNN. Instead of easing into the air, the Boeing performs an unthinkable aerobatic stunt: almost immediately climbing in a vertical position into the air, making for a stomach-churning sight. 

The pilots performed a number of maneuvers but the extraordinary vertical takeoff seems to have impressed the Internet audience the most. 

According to Boeing's website,  the Dreamliner is a jet that "applies breakthrough technologies to an all-new airplane design. The advanced features of the 787 increase efficiency, simplify airplane ownership and operation, and significantly improve the air travel experience."

The new Dreamliner can carry more passengers and is slightly longer than the original.
