This weekend, Wedel did just that. He designed a custom T-shirt that had the Doritos logo on it and read, “I know I’m NACHO typical Dorito but… I’m going to be CHEESY and ask: Will you go to prom with me?”

Video Wedel posted to Facebook shows Carlie excitedly jumping up and down at the sweet surprise. And of course, her answer was yes.

"I decided on the Doritos theme because I have known her for seven years and there has not been a day that I have not seen her eat Doritos," Shaedon told CBS News. She absolutely loves them!"

The video quickly went viral, garnering more than 140,000 views on Facebook.

“My main goal was to make her prom as special as possible,” Wedel said . “She says she wants to be a princess like Cinderella and it would mean everything to make her feel that way.”

The prom is April 22.
