North and South Korea have agreed to march side-by-side in the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 Asian Games, the Associated Press reported Monday.
The Asian Games is an event held every four years in which athletes from across Asia are invite to participate in several different sporting events.
The news of North and South Korea uniting for the 2018 games in Central Jakarta, Indonesia comes nearly a week after United States President Donald Trump met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore with the intention of easing relations and denuclearizing North Korea.
