Nevada Department of Corrections spokeswoman Brooke Keast said Wednesday a plan is in motion to release O.J. Simpson on Monday, according to the Associated Press.

All that stands between Simpson and his release is the approval and signing of documents.

Simpson, 70, currently resides at Lovelock Correctional Center in northern Nevada, but is awaiting transfer to High Desert State Prison outside Las Vegas where he would be released, according to Keast.

Simpson was granted parole on July 20 after serving the minimum nine years of a nine-to-33 year prison sentence for his 2008 armed robbery and kidnapping convictions in a Las Vegas.

After his release, the state Division of Parole and Probation will supervise Simpson until Sept. 29, 2022.

Tom Scotto, a friend of Simpson’s, has offered for Simpson to live with him in Florida, but so far, there has been no transfer of paperwork between Nevada and Florida parole departments necessary for the move, according to the AP.
