Former basketball coach and current ESPN basketball broadcaster Dick Vitale loves Georgia’s decision to hire Tom Crean.

In a post on Twitter Thursday night once Georgia announced the hire, Vitale heaped praise on Mark Fox’s successor.

“As I said earlier today on ESPN SportsCenter (Tom Crean) will be named Coach of (Georgia),” Vitale wrote, “It will be a super hire / guy has loads of passion (and) energy.”

Crean, former coach at Indiana and Marquette, agreed to a six-year deal with the Bulldogs Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
