Federal Judge Richard Berman has ruled in favor of Tom Brady, nullifying his 4-game suspension.
The ruling comes after several hearings and meetings between Tom Brady, the NFL Players Association, Roger Goodell and lawyers representing the league.
After an investigation into underinflated balls at halftime of the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts Brady was suspended for four games and the Patriots were fined $1-million.
Ted Wells wrote a 243 page report saying that it was "more probable than not" that Brady was "generally aware" air was being released from the footballs.
Brady appealed that decision to Goodell, who upheld the 4-game suspension leading to the appeal in federal court.
Just hours after the decision, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the league will appeal.
