Notably dapper NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager has leukemia.

And he will be notably missed these playoffs.

Sager has spent nearly 20 years covering the NBA and basketball for Turner Sports and TNT - in Atlanta. He also has been a sports anchor for CNN and spent time with NBC during its Olympics coverage.

Known for his colorfully styled suits (and being colorfully undressed by Kevin Garnett - above video), Sager is endearingly referred to as "Mr. Fancy Suit."

The announcement of his illness and treatments was made by Craig Sager Jr. via Twitter.

Craig Sager Jr. - a onetime walk-on wide receiver at Georgia - is a writer for AJC news partner ScoreAtlanta.

Sager Jr. later tweeted he would be "watching lots of basketball together these playoffs."
