Jonny recently appeared on the game show, where players must solve word puzzles, for a chance to win some cash. At the end of one of the rounds, he’d filled in every letter on the board to reveal the answer: “Flamenco Dance Lessons.”

All there was left to do was to read the phrase. But instead of saying “flamenco,” he said “flamingo,” the exotic pink bird. Suddenly, he was buzzed for the wrong answer and host Pat Sajak tossed it to the next contender Ashley, who pronounced the word the right way and won the prize.

As Jonny stood in disbelief, Sajak explained the inaccuracy. “What we all heard was — and I know you didn't mean to say it — but you gave us a ‘g’ instead of a ‘c,’” he said.

The flub cost Jonny $7,100 and a trip to Europe and gave his opponent Ashley an easy steal. Take a look at the moment below.

This isn't the first time a mispronunciation cost a participant a major reward. During an episode of 'Jeopardy,' the players received this clue: "A song by Coolio from 'Dangerous Minds' goes back in time to become a 1667 John Milton classic."

One of the contestants was the first to the buzzer, and answered "Gangster's Paradise Lost" instead of "Gangsta's Paradise." He lost $3,200.
