On Tuesday, Chipotle announced it would be handing out $1 million worth of free burritos through the rest of the basketball season.

"We know that basketball fans are some of the most passionate fans in sports, so we're putting even more, about one million dollars more, on the line by 'freeting' through these final games," said Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer of Chipotle, said in the press release.

The chain will give away 500 free burritos every time an on-air announcer says the word “free” during the first half of each game. It will give away 1,000 free burritos with every mention of the word during the second half. The promotion will be limited to the first 20 on-air mentions of "free" during each game.

To win, customers must be one of the first 500 or 1,000 people to text the correct code, which will be announced on Chipotle's Twitter account, to the number 888222.

The restaurant is also offering free delivery on orders of $10 or more from May 30 until the series ends.
